in between first and second interview for cashier

Hey.

I am in between the first and second interview for a cashier job, seasonal for now.

A quick question for anyone that can help:

Is there anything required after the second interview and being hired?

Thanks

Reference checks come after the second interview. The longer your references take to respond to calls, the longer it can take for you to receive an offer. Of course, a lot depends on what your references have to say.

Understand, though, this is a time Borders needs to get staff on board. They will push the process for good candidates.

Good luck.

We do reference checks before the 2nd interview. If they don't check out, we don't do a second.

I think it makes sense to do it the way your store is, but no one in store management asks my opinion, so......

Interviewing with two managers at a time appears to be speeding up the hiring process since they generally count that as both interviews. I would have preferred that. I had my second interview three hours after the first. I had barely gotten home when I got a call to come back to the store. Very annoying especially considering that the second interview lasted three minutes and was conducted by a manager (no longer with us) who seemed very distracted. I figured I failed the second interview when it ended after three minutes. It was more than a week before I got an offer, but they said they had trouble getting hold of a couple of references.

Different stores....different procedures.
