Whats wrong with the computer ?

Does anyone know what is happening with the computer system? It seems like BITS is categorizing everything wrong these days. True crime comes in as African-American Fiction. Books by Thoreau are coming in as Action-Adventure. Biography books are being classified as History.

We have the same problem with our computer mis-classifying titles. So we are now ignoring the computer classifications if they clash with common sense.

What is Retek anyway?

With a little luck they will let us start fixing the 60 or 70 pages of negative on hands.

Do they plan to fix the mess on the computer? The way things have been spinning out of control makes me wonder what they have in mind for us? It is as if they have given up on BITS.

While working on the Big Bombs list I noticed that some paperbacks that were once strips (Dell, Bantam, etc.)are now listed on the computer as whole copy returns. Anyone know if this is correct?
