Can't get anyone to pick up at the 401k Benefits Number

So, I have unsuccessfully been trying to terminate my 401k for two weeks now. Merrill Lynch said to terminate i needed to contact Borders Group Foundation, so i did. I can't get anyone to answer. Any suggestions? My hours have been sliced to 32 and I can't afford to have money taken out anymore. I need that money to pay my mortgage and bills.

Talk to your OS. Some of them have a pretty good handle of the ins and outs of benefits. If nothing else you can bug them to keep calling benefits. One of you should get through.

they do the bereavement baskets and scholarships and hardship grants...

i don't think that's who you want to call for the 401K

try your OS and ask for the benefits number. or go to e-info then benefits homepage.

Do it right online. It's very easy, once you get it going - can be a pain to get started though.
