Our store is now down below 800 hours per week including the 40 hours the GM is supposed to be there (her average is usually closer to 30). Infact the schedule goal was closer to 750 than 800. Also, our single Paperchase staff person is being let go next week. Awhile ago it was reported that there were 3 buyers for Paperchase but no news has been reported for several months now. Is that going through or is something else up with Paperchase?
Where is all the money that George Jones was talking about with the 42.5 million dollar loan and the 100+ million from the sale of Austrailia/New Zealand? The cuts keep happening even wiith the influx of cash. So whats next, how far can they continue to cut hours and still expect to maintain any level of customer support?
They are now threatening to write people up if they do NOT clock out on time even if the reason for not clocking out is that no one
has shown up to replace them. It was even hinted that you should disengage from the customer and clock out without someone there
to take over.
Will the cafe still remain a positive cash flow? Starbucks just announced that they are closing 600 stores next year due to declining sales.

They our having a person on trail for Murder signing his book and Cd in the store. This is really making Borders have a great image.
