calling all Dave Carpenter winner

wondering how all dave carpenter winners our doing? How many our still with the company?

Dylan, it seem you have a lot to say and that you are certainly upset with the way you feel the company treated you. One thing that might add some power to your various claims is taking the time to spell-check (for instance, using the word "are" when you type "our"). I'm not begrudging your claims nor your rights to feel the way you do, just suggesting that some attention to detail might persuade more readers of your posts to view your circumstances with more sympathy and/ or understanding.

There you have it!

John Brown is right. You seem to post all over the place, and in the process mis-spell words, and use poor grammar. As a result I have taken a much dimmer view of your circumstance. The more you rant, the less sympathy you will receive. Just my opinion....

Sorry I'll try harder. But I don't have spell check and my grammer has never been good. Try to forgive me. Remember I went to L.S.U. LAUGH

Maybe you could tell us a little more about the events leading up to your termination. There should have been some documentation. Or at least some conversations. What did your GM tell you? What did the termination paperwork say?

I sent all the paperwork to HR. I will write the whole termination paper if you want. I will also print my rebutal. I sent 100 pages to HR with pictures. I'm wondering if it will do any good. I had no written warning just termination papers. So at that point there was nothing to say. I just walked out. Noone that knows me can understand this. How can you go from a person that pushes selling anything and everything to customers and knowing them by name get fired by someone that only knows me for less then six months. I opened that store. I developed the store customer base. Do you really think I didn't care about that store? That store was my life. But now it gone. I'm sorry for my regular customers who looked for me to turn them on to new music and books. I'm glad i was able to get many a young person to enjoy reading the books on there summer reading list and not complain that the book was long. Many a student came to me and thanked me when they started college. I'm glad I turned people on to Sun Ra. When people came in for the Festival they would always look for my display of the people that were playing. Whenever many a star came in they enjoy the fact that my music dept was like a old time record store. They all were praying it would always be that way. They are praying that I'll be back soon.

Dylan, are you working now? If not I hope you put as much energy into finding a job, as you are complaining.

I sympathize, but really think you are spinning your wheels. JMO.

I'm looking for work everyday. I'm sorry if my complaining bugs you. I just gave all my life to this company and it hurts me when people ask me everywhere I go why I'm not working for Borders anymore. It not easy finding a job when your 53 years old. I've even applied at Burger King and no call back. If you don't think I was good employee that's find. I'm fixing to lose the house that I got after the storm. I hope your life is going great. My O is that I'm getting the shaft. Maybe you might help me get a job. Maybe you don't understand how I think. If you like why don't you call me. I wanted to work for Borders until I died if that was a problem I'm sorry.

Please, please... You are not the only to give blood, sweat and tears to this company. How about 23 years, and I am 65. I am not happy with things either, but life goes on. I have seen many, many great employees leave Borders, and it saddens me to think about them even now, but you know what? There are zillions of other people working for other companies who feel the same way. You can continue to be bitter and angry, or you accept things as they are. Life is not fair.

Yeserday is history...tomorrow's a mystery, and today is a gift!!

I agree. But at 65 you can get social security at 53 you get nothing. Well I belive that Life should be fair. You may say I'm A Dreamer but I'm not the only one. Eye hope my gift for today will be a big surprice.
