closing

Just found out yesterday afternoon that my store is closing. They wouldn't have told us then had it not been for some costly maintainence needed in our store. How can they keep that from us and tell us 3 weeks before our last day of sale????
Ohhh, but kudos to me....I can stay and run the calendar kiosk for the season if I so choose. Then what?
I have been loyal to this company for so long and it just amazes me how little respect is shown for the employees.
I am boggled by their sense of cost cutting. Why not stop buying us thousands of dollars worth of candy to code 60 every few months...why not stop sending the books we return to the r/c right back to us in the DC???? How about we don't sell rubber chickens and skin care products that will never sell? How about we don't receive hundreds of copies of books we won't sell just because they are written by James Patterson or J D Robb??? Better yet, let's boot those people who have been with the company for 14 years, 6 years or decades even...let's not help them get postions in BSS...let's just tell 'em to get their resume ready before their three weeks is even up. Ohhh and while we're at it, let's work their asses off to clean up a store they'll never set foot in again.

Sorry, but I had to get my rant out! But on the brightside, I no longer have to worry about my BR #'s or my UPT or A$T :)

Yeah, that's really rotten.

Which store do you work at?
