pay rate

Hi I stumbled upon this website. I am looking to become an assistant manager of a Waldenbooks store. I am wondering if anyone out there could please let me know the pay rate and/or benefits I would receive upon getting this position. I am hoping to get somewhat of a "heads up" on this. Could anyone help me out with some info? I would EXTREMELY appreciate it! Thank you.

I'm an asst manager in NJ and I'm making 11 and hour plus benefits (about 70 a month).

Depending on where you are, the start rate is usually around 10-11.

wow, an asst manager in our store is getting paid 9 bucks an hour.

Holy Shit! I thought the pay sucked on the Borders side. My SPTeam averages $9 an hour and Sup's average $10.50 an hour. I get $30K a year which averages at 40 hours a week (even though I work 45-50) to 14.43.

Holy shit is right. Our SPT members start at about $8, and supes start at $9.50. Painful.

I know an assitant manager in Arkansas making under eight an hour and another one making under seven!

Just don't be the worthless peon of the store. I've worked there for more than a year and a half and I'm still making the base $7....

I've been working a year and I make $6.75.

Why would you want to be an AM in a n alleged bookstore that is more interested in "flat profit" Preferred Reader cards than in bookselling, book knowledge and customer service? Aim higher, friend.
