Check out the new Mekons LP 'OOOH!'
A treat for Mekons fans, it is arguably their best LP in years, though i like most of their stuff.
It is unfortunate that in this era of return to the basics rock and creative eclecticism that more attention isn't being paid to the Mekons who have been doing some very creative stuff for a long time. Folk/Punk/Gospel as red as the rising sun.

The first track 'Thee Olde Trip To Jerusalem' is just brilliant, a strange punk weaving of gospel and marxism with the arabian desert as scenic background.
