I am a BN employee here looking for advice on starting to organize for union meetings.
Despite our store exceeding all of its sales goals last year, our hours have been cut back to the point where even full-time employees (Lead Booksellers) like myself are having trouble getting enough hours to pay bills. There is widespread dissent right now, and I would like to try to capitalize on it to help our employees.
Anyone have suggestions? What worked in your stores, and what didn't? I've talked to several other employees about this casually, but I'm not sure what the bet way to proceed.
Thanks!
There are some very good Organizing Tips Here.
I remember a great post (I think it was Withrow) on how to sound people out but I can't find it.
